I have a comprehensive understanding of the war, having Soldiered at the start and end of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The compulsion to write down my goofy adventures overcame me since college, which limited my writing to post-it notes, emails, and greeting cards. After it all, I finally had a story worth telling.
